OUR ORIGINS
Tarantula's are incredibly fascinating creatures and I fell 'head over heels' in love with them on my first encounter.

As an observational pet, finding the right enclosure was such a task, that I decided to design and create my own.

ABOUT US
The journey
I started Nclosures.Ltd in January 2021 and this is where we are today.
Being a new Tarantula hobbyist, finding the perfect enclosure can seem almost impossible.
I understand the difficulties and I have been able to draw on my own experience to come up with new, stylish, innovative designs that have ironed out some serious problems.

This has lead me to a material that functions just like glass, however it is far stronger. Almost indestructible, it is used as bomb blast protection, riot shields and much more. This material is known as Perspex, plexi-glass and more commonly known as clear polycarbonate.

I design and hand craft all of our enclosures. This is so rewarding, especially the re-house. Seeing the enclosure occupied is such a treat. That is ultimately the finish, my tarantula's bring the whole thing to life and this is what I want to share with you and the world.

So come and join me on my adventure!!!

What do I need, before purchasing my first Tarantula?
To start with, you need to do research on the subject. Get a feel for the hobby, before committing. Reason being, even though Tarantulas are invertebrates. They have a very long-life span. Some can live up to forty years. So just like most mammalian pets, they require attention and care, however/ They are a lot easier to keep. Understand the different types, like 'New Worlds' and 'Old Words'. New Worlds tend to be endemic to the Americas and Old Worlds inhabit, Asia and Africa. If you have seen pictures of someone handling a Tarantula, that is most likely a New World. I do not endorse handling of any kind and I respect my Tarantula's as observational pets. Sometimes handling is unavoidable, and you have to go with the flow. This is the case with all of my Grammostola species, especially the 'Rosea's'. You cannot help but handle these, as they walk straight out on to your hands. They are very docile any not fazed by anything. Getting them into an Nclosure is one of the hardest tasks. When I refill the water dish or do some spot cleaning, as soon as I lift the lid. They stroll right out and then that can become an hour bonding session. These are moments to cherish, as I do not make a habit of it. There are New Worlds who are not very docile, like the Venezuelan SunTiger.( ''They said. get a Suntiger!'') These are relatively common and sort after due to their colouration and tiger stripes. They also come with the label 'NEW WORLD'. Sellers and breeders are quick to make a sale without giving a full description.I would not recommend a Psalmopoeus Irminia for a beginner. Fully informing my customers and fellow hobbyists is common practice here at NCLOSURES.LTD, this is not only for your safety, but also for the safety of the Tarantula's. You can ask me any questions before making a purchase and I will be more than happy to assist you. Researching your tarantula's natural habitat will be of great benefit. As this will allow you to mimic the same environment. Some species have specific temperature and humidity requirements and getting it wrong can be detrimental. So, choosing the right Nclosure is very important. There are three different types. Terrestrial, arboreal and fossorial. Terrestrial Tarantula's dwell above ground, whereas fossorial Tarantula's create deep burrows underground and arboreal are tree dwellers, like the Venezuelan SunTiger. An arboreal specie is much faster moving than a terrestrial specie, as an example. Substrate, food and accessories. You can find many different types of substrates available on the market. The most commonly used is coco coir. I prefer my own mix as the coir alone has poor water retention properties. With research, I am able to create a mix of substrates for different species and this has worked for me. Experimentation is always encouraged, as there is no right way. Just because one method works for one, does not mean that it will work for everyone. You can hone your inner landscaper skills and have fun with creating a comfortable home for beloved pet by using different accessories, like coconut shells, cork bark, moss, etc. Tarantulas eat anything that moves and most are cannibals. Apart from communal species. You can find live food online or at your local Pet Shop. I would recommend a varied diet. So, offering a mixture of prey is very advantageous and will increase your Tarantula's longevity. Take all of this into consideration and there is no rush. Take as much time to gather information. I hope that this has been helpful and if you have any questions. Please do not hesitate to ask. Kind regards Natalie Muir 🕷💕🕷
As a beginner, what size Tarantula should I start with and why choose NCLOSURES.LTD?
Tarantulas can be bought at three stages, sling, juvenile and sub-adult/adult stage. Slings are newly hatched spiderlings and some are very small, varying in sizes from 0.5cm to 3cm. They are very fragile and can die without any specific reason. I started out buying multiples of ten due to this, just to better my chances with survival rate. As a breeder, I know that not all spiderlings will survive and I make sure that all of my babies are feeding well. If I have slings who do not feed, I know that they will perish and selling them is not what I practice as a business. This has been my experience and I do not want the same for my customers. Blaming yourself and questioning your care, when it is not your fault. Is not fair! That is why you should choose NCLOSURES. I only provide healthy Tarantulas and take pride in offering an honest service!!! When you purchase any livestock from Nclosures, you can be rest assured that I have your back should any issues or problems arise. Like purchasing a female and it turns out male. In two years of trading, this has occured once. I have resolved it promptly, by offering a replacement or refund. We all will make mistakes, it is how we correct them that is important. Some suppliers are dishonest and label males as females. As a vendor, it is a mission and a half to find honest suppliers. Whislt I continue searching, I will take full resposbility for the service that I offer. They say, ''when something seems too good to be true, it normally...'' Facebook groups are filled with scammers and opportunists. Another t-shirt in my wardrobe. Of course the price is very appealing and tempting, the heartache and hurt that follows is not. Not all is bad, buying from strangers can be like playing Russian roulette, however. You have to sieve through a lot of crap. If anything does go wrong and it normally does with Facebook scammers. The best that you will get, is getting blocked or ignored! Tax avoidance is a crime, so why trust someone who is dishonest? This is a big problem for the hobby and legal establishments. Flooding the market with ''cheap''(one of the worst words ever to exist!) living creatures is a recipe for disaster, as this leads to neglect. Count yourself Lucky being able to keep a £5 Pterinochilus Murinus. If you were living in South-Africa, guess what? You cannot keep them as all Baboons are protected in RZA. Cheap anything creates neglect, no appreciation when the novelty wears down. Certain Tarantula's cannot be given away for free, this should not be the case. During lockdown, so many none native animals were released into the wild. Reports of Tarantula's on the loose, ''builders find Tarantula in woman's garden.'' That is only mentioning one case, there are many more. As the hobby grows and these irresponsible practices continue, the authorities will step in and regulate the industry/hobby, which is already occurring abroad. This will only increase the market value drastically and possibly, the introduction of permits. I use reliable suppliers, who are established businesses. This ensures a smooth transaction, paper trail and should a problem occur, they adhere to their policies and my statutory rights as a customer. Shop responsibly, use and support legitimate businesses. They are much more exciting to observe than slings, especially feeding time. Let the takedowns and jump scares begin! Sub-adults and adults range from 11cm to 25cm. Even bigger, depending on species. This is where it is at! Observation at this stage is filled with excitement, due to adult behaviour. From massive takedowns, molts, breeding and even the mature males getting prepared for fatherhood. Watching them create their webs and go about their business allows me to reflect on my web of life that I am weaving. Almost like a source of meditation. The size of the Tarantula will dictate the price. I recommend you start with a fast-growing sling, like a 'Curly hair' and let your experience grow with your Tarantula. Once they reach the end of the juvenile stage, by this time you should have gained enough experience to predict their behaviour and movement. You can now move onto sub-adults/adults. Well done! You are now a bonified keeper! I hope this was helpful and any questions, please do not hesitate. NOTE. You have to be sixteen years and above, in order to make an online purchase.
